📖 Book: Futuwwah and Raising Males Into Sacred Manhood by Imam Dawud Walid
🌟 Aim: Futuwwah, often translated as chivalry, noble character and the sacred character traits embodied in the notion of being a sacred men and a sacred women, is a timeless concept rooted in the Qur'an and Sunnah, embodying values of courage, humility, service, and moral integrity. In today's world, where the rise of liberal ideologies often distorts traditional roles and values, Futuwwah is more needed than ever. It provides a necessary framework to reclaim our sacred identities and responsibilities, offering a counter-narrative to the confusion of modern times. This Bookclub seeks to anchor us as a community in understanding and embodying Futuwwah, equipping us to face contemporary challenges with the strength and wisdom of our Prophetic tradition, ultimately fostering personal and communal harmony.
